Digging the proggresive composition

The intro was a bit dry as it went on past the 1 minute mark but that can be solved with bringing that background filtered lead to the foreground maybe, but thats just a suggestion. I really like the pad that came in after the intro, gave a very euphoric feeling as the bass became more aggressive and distorted. As the piece goes on i feel as if the bass line should be more varied note wise, as the rhythm is the driving force of all house music. The vocals i think are a bit too high in the mix and the drums should be louder but the overall feel of the piece is top notch, groovin rhythm and easy going intensity.

Such variety

The whole time I listened to this I was staring at the budding tree in my backyard flowing in the wind, I love how the vocals are low in the mix when they come in. All the instruments are used to their fullest potential and the drums give a good backbone while not being boring, especially with that flanging hard crash. Towards the end of the track im getting a very euphoric feeling, but overall theres so much great sounds that glitch and morph that its hard to totally criticize this track with just a couple listens. Great work :)

Hey Nameless!

Great to hear from you and I am really glad you enjoyed this track. Last summer when I was working on this track I spent a great while researching and investing time in learning how to really master instruments and make them shine clearly to there fullest potential.

I wrote the original track of this 4 years ago. in fact its on my other newgrounds account. And since then I just loved the landscape and depth of feeling it draws from the piano and drums. and from that It made me feel that this track really needed to be rebuilt.

This is the first track of mine to actually be released with my own voice in it. and wanted it to be more of an instrument than steal the show over the other sounds.

Thanx for the review it means a lot.

Sounds need some work

Your glitches and drums really stand out in a good way in this remix, but that synth that came in around :39 dosent work very well, id stick with fattening up that bassline you have going and bring that synth in an interlude or something. Your drum breaks sound great and fit well, make the omen sequence less repetitive and you'll have yourself a great remix id nod my head to. Still a great track, but anyway you mind giving me feedback on my new songs? : )

xNecrosisxx responds:

Wow thanks man. I'll surely make this better. And of course i'll give you a feedback :)

Great Cooncept

I love the jungle reminiscent drums, what would make this track is a less repetitive background sequence, switch up the notes or put a gross beat on it. The best part were the drums so fast fills and tom hits would also fit well. This track is great and alot more unique than most dnb, just needs some adjustments for freshness. Otherwise the mastering was well done except I would've appreciated a harder kick. check out my ambient songs and give me feedback? : )

TerrenceLepore responds:

Thanks man, always nice to hear some feedback, expect some in return ;)

Relaxing indeed

The main problem with this track is how the sounds fit. The synth you used and the cymbal sample really didn't add to the chill out feel. Overall i would use filters or reverb to make certain sounds fit well. A geat job, just some parts ruined the vibe, ill still rate you a 5 though : )

Kosmiker responds:

Yeah, gotta sort that out next week (i'll have my audio equip back). Most likely it's not only the cymbal and synth, the whole sound probably sounds crappy. I was using a crappy laptop with FL6 and no audio gear (just some 5$ headphones lol) :P

Anyway, thank you for the review. I definitely gotta update this track.

Near Perfect

The melody in this song is very uplifting and obviously trance like with out being cliche. Theres just a subtle flavor that gives it a personal touch. My only complaint that you really shouldnt even bother to change is how fast and strong the piano comes in after the intro, it should be a bit more gradual and organic. Overall very well done, this song deserves more exporsure and a better rating.

Thanks for the review dude, I'll try to work on this song sometime maybe and make it better.

Tasty bass

Like the guy down below i always pay attention to style more than substance when it comes to music. You have both in this track, the deep ghetto bass is my favorite sound in the whole song, maybe if you do include a climax you could incorporate more of that sound. The vocals maybe need some more thickening and that pad in the background needs a more "dreamy" quality to it if you know what i mean, give the piece a more euphoric feeling i guess, put some arp and additional effects on it maybe.

Being-Glass responds:

Wow its been a long while since I've seen you around!

Thanx for the advice I plan to give this track an overhaul now that I see people want to hear more of this style music from me. This is one of those experimental niches I have developed over the years in writing my music. I have developed a lot of projects inside this style so now its all about going back and polishing them with all my new knowledge in sound engineering. I do need more education in theory that is what I lack.

GOOOD SOUNDS! : )

I know you havent heard from me in awhile but i figured id drop by and shamelessly promote my new tracks : ). Of course this track is amazing, how ambient should be done, all the parts weave together and it sounds very human. The piano part is what makes this track. My only complaint is maybe put some more of those nice sounding glitches in the drums and make them a bit fatter even though know its an ambient song. Overall a very good job!

Being-Glass responds:

At the time of writing the track I actually had to take glitch sections out. The lead director in the videogame thought that they were starting to pull the music to far away from the game environment that he was visioning. None the less he loved the way this loopable track came out. I should make it into a full length track when I have the time. and yes I would definetly get more abstract creative with the percs.

Might i return the favor?

Good song, very unique actually, at least to me. The synth is creative and the drums are really thick unlike mine. Mastering is actually pretty good in general as well. Only complaint is its a bit short, if it were to go on longer you could take in so many directions.

SteakJohnson responds:

thanks man! yea i never spend too long on 1 song usually.. Thickness comes from lots of layering and processingg
